When we’re happy with our smiles, we can go about our days ready to embrace life confidently. Your smile is your greatest asset and first impression. When we’re hesitant and self-conscious, we tend to worry and hide our teeth by not smiling. A smile makeover can transform your smile so you can feel confident with the way you look.
At our dental practice, we know the value of a great smile. When a patient comes to us asking for a smile makeover, we inform them of the procedures available to help them achieve the smile of their dreams.
Teeth Whitening And Veneers
Teeth whitening is a fairly common procedure and can be a big part of teeth makeovers. Due to tea, coffee, wine, and tobacco use, many people have stained teeth. These stains are usually impossible to remove using toothpaste. Teeth whitening procedures rely on bleaching agents in certain concentrations to remove these stains.
Veneers are used to cover teeth that are misshaped, cracked, spaced, or rotated.
They’re thin, and we attach them to the front surfaces of teeth. Unlike tooth enamel, porcelain veneers do not become stained.
When a person has missing teeth, we offer several restorative procedures here at Jeffrey L. Cohen DDS. Implants are now considered the best method of replacing teeth. Bridges rely on adjacent teeth for support, while implants do not.
Dental implants are often the best way of replacing missing teeth. Compared to bridges, dental implants maintain and support the bone where the teeth are missing. Compared to dentures, implants are much more stable and do not allow the jaw bone to break down. We have provided many patients with dental implant restorations in Covina, CA. If you’re interested, schedule an examination, and we can tell you if dental implants would be a good option for you.
What Are Implants?
A dental implant consists of a titanium or ceramic root replacement in the bone with a natural-looking crown attached. Multiple implants can be “bridged” together to replace several missing teeth-even an entire upper or lower arch. Dental implants are often considered the ideal choice because they are attached directly to the jawbone. The surrounding teeth aren’t needed for support. The implants’ main requirement is that the jawbone is tall enough and wide enough to support the implant. If there is not adequate bone, bone grafts can be performed to gain strength and support.
Implants are great because they’re durable and closely resemble natural teeth. People won’t tell the difference between your natural teeth and the implant(s).
A dental makeover isn’t limited to teeth whitening, veneers, and dental implants. It can include several different dental procedures. The choice of procedures depends on each patient’s desires and needs.
Our goal with every patient is to create a smile that is beautiful and long-lasting.
