At our general dental office, we educate our patients about the different material choices we can utilize for their treatment. Before coming to our office, most patients have not been given choices.
To restore our patient’s teeth, bite relationships, and smiles, Dr. Cohen believes in using only biocompatible, non-toxic, and time-tested materials that support the systemic, periodontal, and aesthetic health of our patients.
We do NOT use toxic mercury alloys, temporary plastics, porous resins, non-precious or base metal crowns, water-soluble cement, removable plastic appliances non-precious metals.
Dr. Cohen uses numerous methods to restore teeth conservatively and help you obtain optimal oral health. Materials that our practice use on a routine basis include composites (for small fillings only), pressed ceramic/porcelain, high noble gold in specific cases, and surgical grade titanium related to surgically placed dental implants. These are the only dental materials that we will use for our staff or their own family’s mouths! The list is short but profoundly important!
If you have any questions about dental restorative materials, please be encouraged to call our office and talk to any of our clinical team members. Our clinical team has many years of working with Dr. Cohen’s philosophy of care!
